TO SUPPORT BRAIN-BASED TEACHING THROUGH TECHNIQUES THAT INCORPORATE AGE-APPROPRIATE HANDS ON EXPERIENCES WITH PEOPLE, MATERIALS, AND THE ENVIRONMENT

In addition to the products we sell, ECHO (Early Childhood Hands On) also offers workshops, inservices, and trainings for early childhood programs such as Headstart, libraries, preschools, day cares, and early childhood conferences.

Presentations are specifically designed to meet individual program/conference budgets and staff needs.

We offer quality presenters at affordable fees.  Laura Stephens has a B.S. in Elementary Education, Marta Gore has a B.S. in Social Work, and Melissa Finneseth has a M.S. in Speech Pathology.  We have a wide range of experiences in early childhood education, especially with the Parents as Teachers program in the Lee's Summit, MO School District. We have specialized training in multiple discipline strategies, Project Construct, and brain-based learning.  We are registered trainers with OPEN Initiative, the Missouri training registry for early childhood professionals.

Laura and Marta have co-authored the three activity and resource books featured on this site.  Laura, Marta, and Melissa have presented for Headstart, STARNET, Missouri Preschool Projects, state library associations, Conference on the Young Years, Division of Early Childhood, Parent University, and the Parents as Teachers National Conference.

We offer presentations on discipline strategies, sensory experience, brain-based learning, literacy, age-appropriate activities and expectations, and speech and language development in young children.
